Fall is that the time of year that kicks off the season of crafting and decorating for me! And one of my favorite seasonal home decor crafts to make are DIY fall wreaths. Making your own fall wreath is so easy and fun to make. I hung mine in my house, but you can hang it on your front door too.

The one I made here cost me around $30 and took me about 30 mins to put together. If you are new at making wreaths and want to try it for the first time, my tutorial below will help you out. Even the most newbie crafter can do it!
Yea girl, I am talking to you. You can do it too!

Everything I bought is from Hobby Lobby and was purchased at 50% off. Hobby Lobby has the most amaazzzing faux florals and stems which are always on sale! It’s seriously the best place to go for floral projects. If you haven’t been before, you gotta go check one out!
DIY FAll Wreath Tutorial
Okay, so let’s stop procrastinating and let’s start doing! We are about to make a pretty fall wreath together and your home and neighbors will love it 🙂
Materials & Supplies Needed
- 18″ Grapevine Wreath
- 2 Eucalyptus Stems
- 1 Yellow Pom Pom Bush
- 2 Orange Dahlia Stems
- 1 White Peony Stem
- Floral Wire
- Wire Cutters
- Hot Glue

Step 1: Measure & Cut Eucalyptus Stems

Before cutting the eucalyptus stems, I placed each stem on either side of the wreath so that it wrapped around the whole thing, leaving an open space on the bottom for the flowers. (that bottom gap will be covered later, so no worries).
After figuring out the exact length and placement I wanted, I took my wire cutters and trimmed the stems.

Step 2: Use Floral Wire to Secure The Eucalyptus

Once you have cut and measured out the length and placement of your eucalyptus stems, you will use floral wire to tie it onto the grapevine wreath. I basically cut about 8 inches of wire and ran it over the eucalyptus stem and through the back of the wreath and tied it off.
This part was a little tricky because the floral wire would sometimes get lost or stuck in the wreath, so just make sure to cut the wire long enough so that it can pass through the whole wreath.
Step 3: Cut And Place Yellow Pom POm Stems

Just like the eucalyptus stems, you will be using floral wire to tie down and secure the yellow pom poms along the sides of the wreath. Play around with the placement and when you find the look you like, cut and tie them down.
Step 4: Cut and Glue the White And Orange Flowers

When cutting the flowers, you will need to cut the flowers at the base, removing the entire stem.

I first hot glued the orange flowers down and then glued the white flower in the center.

Step 5: And Your DIY fAll Wreath Is Done!
Make any final adjustments to your wreath and make sure everything is secure. If you are happy with everything on your wreath, give yourself a high five and hang that pretty thing!

I put mine on my kitchen pantry door and used a command hook to hang it. I love how it adds a nice fall festive feel to my kitchen, but I might swap it out with my Modern Fall Gold Hoop Wreath, which is currently on my front door.
