9 Best Places To Buy Affordable Art Online for People On A Budget

Do you love art but don’t want to spend a fortune on it? I have rounded up the best places to buy affordable art online!

I absolutely love art and am always trying to find affordable art online that I can add to my home. Hanging art in your home adds so much character and is a great way to quickly add style and decor to any space. Gallery walls and art shelves are very popular right now, which probably won’t go out of style any time soon!

Save By Buying Digital Downloads of Art

I plan on putting a gallery wall of art in our front office one day, so I have been searching the internet for affordable art options. One popular way to save money from art is to get a digital download of it (many places are doing this now- especially Etsy) and then printing and framing it yourself!

Below is my gallery wall inspo for our front office. We just did our own DIY Dark Shiplap Wall and think that art would totally pop against the dark wall!

Some brands may not offer digital downloads, but will mail you the print themselves (which is awesome too and will save you that extra step). The big area where you save the most money, is by ditching the frame. Frames get very pricey and I realized if I just buy the print and frame it myself with a more affordable option, I would save myself tons of money!

Example Of How I Saved Money On An Art Piece:

I loved this one specific art piece I found on Anthropologie by the artist Clare Elsaesser (I love her floral whimsical portraits!) and it cost $228. Eeeek.

I ALMOST bought it, but then stumbled upon Clare Elsaesser’s Etsy shop and saw that she sold her prints on there too! I bought an 11×14 for $40 and bought my own gold frame from Target for $30, totaling $70 for the art piece. I saved myself about $160 going this route instead of buying from Anthropologie! It was a total win for my wallet!

Artfully Walls is one of my favorite art print shops online! They represent MANY artists and offer so many different style choices at affordable prices. You also have the choice of getting just the print (all of which are museum quality Giclee prints) or adding a frame (costs more expensive but so beautiful).

They also offer 10% or 15% discounts if you sign up for their email subscription!

3. Minted

Minted is another great affordable online resource for art prints! They represent MANY artists and offer so many different styles of art (graphic, photography, painted etc) . Through Minted, you have 3 art options: Printed, Canvas or Framed.

I bought one print from them and had it framed (was on the more expensive side), but if you just buy a print without the frame it’s much more affordable!

4. Juniper Print Shop

Juniper Print Shop is another favorite affordable art source of mine! They have various prints available (floral, landscape, abstract, city etc), with a few different print options. The 3 options you have are:

• Have them print it for you (printed on a paper-vinyl hybrid).
• Oversized prints fitted for the Ikea Bjorksta frames.
